Art Themes - Beach Bobcat

Ah, the beach. Ah, the campy Beach Movies from the early 1960's. This is a theme to give my friend, Ceri Bobcat, a chance to share the spotlight.

This is derived from the campy beach movies made in the early 60's staring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. The idea is to have a silly beach scene that is based on a scene in the movies. There are a lot of possibilities available; from dancing around the bon fire, surfing competition, the good kids vs the "bad" kids in the motorcycle gang, and so forth. Some of the movies are "Beach Party" (1963), "Muscle Beach Party" (1964), "Bikini Beach" (1964), "Beach Blanket Bingo" (1965), "Ride the Wild Surf" (1964), and "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini" (1965).

Research material

If you haven't seen any of these movies, to help out, I've built a page with some frame captures from one of my favourite of the beach movies.

How to Stuff a Wild Bikini
