Have you ever wanted something but discovered that no one makes it? Well, this happened with me. I wanted some shirts with images of my favourite cartoon characters -- the girls from Tiny Toon Adventures, cartoon foxes, and of course, me.

So, what is a person to do?

Make your own, of course!

After talking with manufacturers and the marketing group at Warner Bros and Disney, I learned there were no plans to make such shirts. Le sigh! So I started looking for other options. Eventually, I settled on doing hand embroidery to make my own shirts.

I learned that I can make my own, hand embroidered shirts without having to ask permission provided I meet three requirements: (1) I had to design the pattern; (2) I had to do the sewing; and (3) I must not sell the resulting shirt.
