I may have mentioned to some friend about what'd happen if Minerva got to be in the Mega Man X series... but what if Vicki and friends became characters in the Mega Man X series. Now, to Mike and to others not "in the know", I'll give a bit of a briefing... Mega Man X takes place well after the classic Mega Man series... and, sadly, after Dr. Light (creator of the original Mega Man) had passed away. Anyway... Mega Man X (or just X for short) and his bud Zero fight off the evil Maverick robots! What's a Maverick, you ask? Well, if a robot violates the first rule of robotics ("A robot must never harm a human being") it's listed as Maverick, and there are a group of robots called Maverick Hunters. As the name implies, they hunt down and destroy Maverick robots. Well, problems arise when the former Maverick Hunter leader, Sigma, goes Maverick himself. That's how X and Zero's adventures begin. Now that I've explained a bit... if Vicki and friends were in the Mega Man X series (even as "cameo" appearances), I can imagine that, like my Minerva in Mega Man X thing, Vicki and friends would probably be among the few animaloid Reploids (that's the special name to the robots in MMX) that DON'T go Maverick. Yep, they stay on the good side. For Minerva Mink, I imagine her as "Prism Mink." She'd have crystal armor and have a rainbow laser called "Spectrum Laser" (or "Spectrum Beam"). So, what do you think kind of Reploids should Vicki and friends be? Be creative, all you friends out there! |

"Maverick" was also the model of a car manufactured by Ford Motor Company in the 1970's. |

It was also the name of a '50s TV Western, which was made as a flop Mel Gibson/Jodie Foster movie, too. -MINESWEEP |

("A robot must never harm a human being") You got that from the movie "I Robot" didn't you Dboywheeler? |

Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics, from his series of robot books beginning in the 1940's, are as follows: 1) A robot must never harm a human being, or allow one to come to harm. 2) A robot must obey all orders, except for those that violate the First Law. 3) A robot must protect its own existence, unless doing so violates the First or Second Laws. Not surprisingly, said Three Laws have been a subject of mockery in various science fiction stories over the years. |

Oh I almost forgot...Isaac Asimov wrote the original "I Robot" novel the movie was based on.I haven't read the book but I liked the movie alot(Despite numerous bad reviews from the papers). |

Well, to bring back the topic... I imagine that Vicki Fox's Reploid name would be "Angel Kitsune". Her attack for fighting Mavericks would be "Halo Boomerang" (kind of her version of Ring Man's Ring Boomerang from the Mega Man Classic Series). She'd also help X and Zero by either singing to Mavericks (and thus stun them for a few seconds) or refill their Energy and Weapon Energy. |

I thought that most mavericks in the later series were those that were infected with a virus that caused them to violate the 1st rule. It was a general given that X was immune to it, yet for Zero, it only made him stronger as he became more infected. To get back to the point, that would be good for Vicki. I think for Aussie his would be Flash Kicker *showing that he was a Photographer and worked with sports*. His main attacks would be an explosive ball and of course the "HATED" flash attack made famous by Flashman |

There we go. And Zephy would DEFINITELY be a Maverick! Any ideas for her? |

Speaking of Asimov's laws of robotics, didn't he later suggest another one, one more important than the first? I think it was: 0) A robot must never harm humanity, or allow humanity to come to harm. |

This thread gives me a possible idea for a "Minding the Gap" comic that could introduce MY personal fursona, D-Boy Whitewulf. Maybe Whitewulf invited Meredith to play Mega Man X Collection, and Meredith is getting cheesed off trying to play it. This would probably be the first "Minding the Gap" that gives video game hints for RL people having trouble with games. In this case, Meredith is struggling in MMX4, because she can't get the upgrades for X. So I (as Whitewulf) tell her the Ultimate Armor code for X. I'm sure Meredith will have pantloads of fun using Nova Strike on the Mavericks! |
